Obituary for Harold Martin Fuss

Chatham,

Rev. Harold M Fuss was assigned to a higher appointment September 17, 2014. He was born in Gerrardstown, West Virginia, April 17, 1925. Rev. Fuss graduated from Shepherd College, attended Western Maryland College, Westminster Theological Seminary and Union Theological Seminary of Virginia. As a United Methodist Minister in the Virginia Conference, he served churches from the mountains to the Eastern Shore and back, he had been retired for 24 years, after serving 44 years in the active ministry, retiring from Belmont United Methodist Church, Roanoke, in 1990. He was awarded a certificate of Exemplary Service by Industrial and Commercial Ministries in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ida Fuss and a granddaughter, Julie Ann Fuss. Rev. Fuss is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jacqueline Blick Fuss, two sons, Gerald Fuss (Lynn) of Chesterfield, and Christopher Fuss (Carolyn) of Charlottesville, and a daughter, Deborah Wagner (James) of Chatham; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Watson Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 20th at 2:00 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held September 22, at 1:00 pm at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Gerrardstown, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be made to National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131 or Watson Memorial United Methodist Church.
