Obituary for Angelina Claville Zeitz

CHATHAM,

Angelina Claville Zeitz, age 86, entered into rest on November 20, 2016 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, VA.

She was born on June 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Leslie Drew Claville and the late Alma Estelle Wade Claville.

Angelina, affectionately known as Ann, was a big hearted and loving woman who will be greatly missed. She gave of herself in so many ways, whether volunteering at Arts organizations or with local businesses. Always sassy and fashionable, she won hearts and friends wherever she went. Her love of dogs brought her much joy.

She worked at Fort Eustis Army Base in Newport News, VA until her marriage to Louis Anthony Zeitz, when she moved to Clarksville, VA. After his death, she went to work for Halifax Regional Hospital as Medical Staff Coordinator where she worked until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Purser (Grifton, NC); three grandchildren: Cassandra E. Smith and husband, John D. Harris (Chatham, VA), Jason Eli Brown and wife, Laura Macintosh- Brown (Newport News, VA), and Michael T. Brown (Kinston, NC); five great grandchildren and nephews: Gary S. Claville (Tampa, FL) and Leslie M. Claville (Covington, GA).

A memorial gathering will occur on December 10th at Higher Ground Farms, 648 Strader Road, Chatham, VA 24531. Please contact Scott Funeral Home in Chatham, VA for more information.
