Obituary for Richard Carroll Edwards

CHATHAM,

Richard Carroll Edwards, age 74, of 857 Rigney Circle Chatham, entered into rest on March 7, 2017 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home in Lynchburg.

He was born on February 25, 1943, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late Gordon Carroll Edwards and the late Evelyn Nesline Edwards.

He was a member of Mill Creek Community Church and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his partner, Rosemary Lee Springer; three brothers, Norman Edwards and his wife Diana of Sacramento, CA, Roger Edwards and his wife Brenda of Climax, and James Edwards and his wife Peggy of Chatham; and two nephews, Jimmy Edwards and his wife Teri and Miles Edwards.

Memorial services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Darrell T. Campbell officiating.

The family will be at the residence, 857 Rigney Circle Chatham, VA.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Guggenheimer Nursing Home Hospice, 1902 Grace St. Lynchburg, VA 24504.
