Obituary for Paul Bennett "Benny" East Jr.


CHATHAM,

Paul Bennett “Benny” East, age 54, of 4186 Chalk Level Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on August 11, 2017 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 24, 1962, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late Paul Bennett East Sr. and Phyllis Jean Crider East, who survives.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wanda Yeatts East; three daughters, Jennifer Morgan East of Blairs, Rhonda Fowlkes of Dry Fork, and Tammy Pillow of Dry Fork; three grandchildren, Brandon Fowlkes, Nathan Fowlkes, and Lauren Fowlkes, of Dry Fork; one brother, Samuel D. East and his wife Julie of Chatham; two nieces, Courtney East and Amanda Hoffman, both of Chatham; and three nephews, Luke Howard, Johnny Hunt, and Seth Hunt, all of Chatham.

He was a member of Sheva Church of Christ. Benny was a loving son, husband, and father who will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at Sheva Church of Christ on Sunday August 13, 2017 at 4:00 pm with Ministers Ron Voss and Larry L. Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Sheva Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Sheva Church of Christ on Sunday August 13, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence, 4186 Chalk Level Rd. Chatham, VA.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Sheva Church of Christ Building Fund, 4920 Chalk Level Rd. Chatham, VA 24531.
