Addison Wayne “Sparky” Rigney, age 71, of 275 Turkey Cock Mtn. Rd. Callands, entered into rest on January 11, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 3, 1946, in Danville, the son of the late Addison Add Rigney and the late Ranie Lee Jackson Rigney. He survived by his wife, Wanda Mills Rigney.

He is survived by three sons, Addison Wayne (Felicia) Rigney Jr., Timothy Wayne Rigney, and Dwayne Add Rigney; a daughter, Amanda Lee Rigney; five grandchildren, Briana Mae Rigney, Nathan Thomas Rigney, Addison Dwayne Rigney, Lillan Nicole Martin, and T.J. Martin; one great-grandchild, Oliver Michael Cairo; a sister, Mildred Joyce (David) Hodges; and his step-father, Herman Gibson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Rigney.

Memorial services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Monday January 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm with Rev. R. G. Rowland officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with the arrangements.
