Obituary for Maude Edda Adkins
CHATHAM,
Maude Edda Osborne Adkins, age 92, of 1489 Cooksburg Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on January 18, 2018 at SOVAH Health in Danville.
She was born on November 17, 1925, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Roy Coleman Osborne and the late Anna Mae Tosh Osborne. She was married to the late Malcolm Adkins.
She was a member of New Bethel Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by one son, Jesse Adkins; four grandchildren, Pam Adkins, Brian Adkins, Kim Schmidtiman, and Jason Adkins; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Adkins and Sirivs Schmidtiman; one sister, Margaret Ingram; and two brothers, Wayne Osborne and Junior Osborne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Joyce Adkins; two sons, Thomas Lee Adkins and Mark Neal Adkins; one grandchild, Timmy Adkins; three sisters, Irene Falls, Nancey Haskins, and Anna Bell Barbour; and three brothers, Arthur Osborne, Garnet Osborne, and Roscoe Osborne.
Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Sunday January 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Curtis English and Rev. Sam Light officiating.
Burial will follow at New Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 1489 Cooksburg Rd. Chatham, VA.
