Obituary for Janet Hedrick Wyatt



KEELING,

Janet Hedrick Wyatt, age 60, of 16609 Old Richmond Rd. Keeling, VA, entered into rest on March 30, 2018 at SOVAH Health in Danville.

She was born on July 30, 1957, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late William Garland Hedrick and the late Jennie Smith Hedrick. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Wyatt.

Janet worked as a registered nurse at Danville Regional Medical Center and retired from Schoolfield Elementary. She loved owls, snowmen, reading, crocheting, and the color purple.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cheri Fillion of Axton; a step-daughter, Amanda (Alex) Gibbs of Danville; a step-son, Michael (Marie) Dearman of Kalamazoo, MI; three grandchildren, Taylor Galyean, Joshua Dearman, and Matthew Dearman; a sister, Dianne Glidewell; a brother, Carlton (Betty) Hedrick; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Memorial services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Elder. Renee Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to say a special thanks to all of her family and friends and the staff at SOVAH Health Danville for the excellent care she received. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
