Obituary for Galdys Creasy Gregory



CHATHAM,

Gladys Creasy Gregory, age 93, of 260 Colony Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on April 22, 2018 at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Gregory was born on May 9, 1924, in Pittsylvania County, daughter of the late Fred Lewis Creasy and the late Lola Cook Creasy.

Gladys was married to Douglas Wyatt Gregory who preceded her in death.

Gladys was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was a member of Museville Christian Church, and an early member of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, Va.

She is survived by her son, H. Keith Gregory of Kill Devil Hills, NC; her daughter, Martha G. Pennybacker of Poquoson, VA, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, W. Douglas Gregory, four brothers, Gordon A. Creasy, Walter T. Creasy, Maurice W. Creasy, Leo V. Creasy, and two sisters, Flora Creasy Woody, and Lucy Creasy Wright, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at Museville Christian Church on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Minister Conley Stephenson officiating.

Burial will follow at County Line Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday April 24, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
