Obituary for Kerry Scott McDaniel



CHATHAM,

Kerry Scott McDaniel, age 53, of 1320 Gammons Lake Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on July 20, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 25, 1964, in Franklin County, the son of Raleigh Henry McDaniel and the late Lois Hooker McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Angie Hoskins McDaniel.

He was a very devoted husband, daddy, brother, and friend. Scott lived life to the fullest extent and was always talking about Jesus, family, and friends. He was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and worked for Goodyear. Scott was very adventurous and loved to be outdoors. He loved music, playing his guitar, and was a member of New Harmony Gospel Group.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alyssa Jade McDaniel; a son, Landon Scott McDaniel; and three sisters, Kathi (David) Perdue of Rocky Mount, Patti (Sam) Truesdell of Concord, NC, and Starlette (Chris) McDaniel of Scranton, PA;

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Craig McDaniel.

Funeral services will be conducted at Open Bible Baptist Church on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm.

Burial will follow at the Hoskins Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence, 1320 Gammons Lake Rd. Chatham, VA.
