Obituary for Jeanne Elizabeth Bennett



CHATHAM,

Jeanne Elizabeth Bennett, age 66, of 161 Hawkins Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on September 14, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on March 15, 1952, in Danville, the daughter of the late W. Calvin Bennett Sr. and Phyllis M. Bennett, who survives.

She was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and retired from the Pittsylvania Power Plant in 2016. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed crafts and collecting antiques.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Carol B. (Boyd) Motley of Chatham; two brothers, William C. (Andy) Bennett Jr. of Chatham and James A. (Shelby) Bennett of Virginia Beach; one niece; four nephews; two step-nephews; and numerous close friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Monday September 17, 2018 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence of her mother, 832 Cherrystone Rd. Chatham, VA 24531.
