CHATHAM,
Nancy Gauldin Rigney, age 61, of 538 Cavalry Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on April 19, 2019 at SOVAH Health Danville.
She was born on December 8, 1957, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late S.J. Gauldin and Virginia Gauldin, who survives.
She was married to the late Carson Rigney.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, April Yeatts; two brothers, Steve (Betty) Gauldin and Gary (Tonya) Gauldin; three sisters, JoAnn (Dennis) Walker, Sheila Easome, and Sherri (Joe) Hodnett; six grandchildren, Meagan Yeatts, Morgan Yeatts, Nathan Rigney, Lexi Rigney, J.C. Slaughter, and Jonah Slaughter; a step-son, Carl Ray Rigney; a step-daughter, Pamela Leonard; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Rigney.
Funeral services will be conducted at Tabernacle Christian Church on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tim Hayes officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rigney Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Monday April 22, 2019 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence of JoAnn and Dennis Walker, 860 Weal Rd. Chatham, VA.
