Obituary for Glenda Amos Gregory

CHATHAM,
The last brick has been laid and the pearls are in place on the gates of Heaven. On June 7, 2019 Glenda Amos Gregory made her final journey down the streets of gold from Circle K Farms to her mansion in the sky.
She was born on May 17, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Clifton and the late Connie Amos.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Kelly Gregory.
She was a member of Matthews Memorial Community Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gregory (Jay) Rhodes and Tracy Gregory; a son, David (Keitha) Gregory; three grandchildren, Rodney Rhodes, Collin Holley, and Kelly Gregory; two step-grandchildren, Alex Borrego and Emily Borrego; and a brother, Randall (Nancy) Amos.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Edwin Amos.
Funeral services will be conducted at Matthews Memorial Community Church on Monday June 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Russell East III officiating.
Burial will follow at Matthews Memorial Community Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence, 1645 Cavalry Rd. Chatham, VA.
The family is eternally grateful for “the Angel” that the Lord prepared in sending Sherry Broznick as Glenda’s caregiver.
