DRY FORK,

Wilma Powell Daniel of Dry Fork, VA, entered into rest on July 9, 2019 at Roman Eagle Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Odell Powell and the late Georgia Pruitt Powell.

She was married to the late Theodore ”Slim” Daniel.

Mrs. Daniel worked at Elliot Hardware in Chatham, VA prior to being a clerk at the Post Office in Dry Fork, VA. She was also a member of Hopewell Methodist Church in Dry Fork.

She is survived by a son, Danny L. Daniel; two grandchildren, Jeff Daniel and Kevin (Lee Ann) Daniel; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Powell.

Funeral services will be conducted at Highland Burial Park on Friday July 12, 2019 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mitch Cifers and Rev. Ronnie Tote..

The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Thursday July 11, 2019 from 7:00-8:00 pm.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Dry Fork Volunteer Fire Department, 4860 Dry Fork Rd. Dry Fork, VA 24549.
