CHATHAM,
Nancy Duncan Lee, age 81, of 604 South Main Street Chatham, VA, went to be with The Lord on July 25, 2019 at Brookdale Danville Piedmont.
She was born on April 13, 1938, in South Carolina, the daughter of the late Claude Cook Duncan and the late Thelma Blease Wardell Duncan.
She was married to the late Dennis Dale Lee.
She was a longtime member of Beverly Chapel Presbyterian Church and later attended Samuel Harris Baptist Church in Chatham. She retired from the USDA at the ASCS offices in Chatham.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence F. "Buddy" (Lisa) Lee of Wake Forest, NC; a daughter, Denise L. Robertson of Chatham; four grandchildren, Justin Schneider, Jonathan Schneider, Courtney Lee (Ben) Tucker, and Christian James "CJ" Robertson; and a nephew, Tim Winn.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Winn Meadows.
Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Sunday July 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Sunday July 28, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence of her daughter, 8 Woodlawn Heights Chatham, VA.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Brookdale Danville Piedmont, 149 Executive dr. Danville, VA 24541 or to Liberty Hospice, 2943 Riverside Dr suite E, Danville, VA 24541.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale and Liberty Hospice for the excellent care that she received.
