CHATHAM,

Iris Motley Riddle, age 92, of Chatham, entered into rest on October 11, 2019 at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on November 1, 1926, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Earl C. Motley and the late Ella Craddock Motley.

She is survived by her husband, Guy Riddle.

She was a life member of Oak Grove Christian Church and was retired from the ASC office after 39 years of service. She loved her family and was an excellent caregiver to her mother, father, and aunt. She was a loving wife and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Nelson (Joan) Motley; two nephews, Craig Motley and Clay Motley, two step-sons, Norman (Karen) Riddle and Dan (Joyce) Riddle; a step-daughter, Pat (Bruce) Moore; six step-grandchildren, Shelayne Riddle, Chris Moore, Anthony Moore, Ian Moore, Kathleen Lamb, and Elizabeth Templeton; and five step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Lawson Mason.

Funeral services will be conducted at Oak Grove Christian Church on Monday October 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Frank Fuller and Rev. Terry Newton officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Christian Church on Monday October 14, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence of Guy Riddle, 377 Fairview Rd. Chatham, VA.
