Obituary for Georgia Collins Crowder

Georgia Collins Crowder, age 91, of Chatham, VA, entered into rest on October 30, 2019 at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on January 23, 1928, in Patrick County, the daughter of the late Walter L Collins and the late Delphia Susan Ann Bowman Collins. She was married to the late Rev. H. Clyde Crowder.
She was a member of Java Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol C. Byrd (Stephen W. Byrd, deceased) and Joan Merricks and Barry; four grandchildren, Todd Byrd and Gwen, Lori Hale and her husband David, Jason Merricks and and his wife Hope, and Justin Merricks and his wife Marilyn; six great-grandchildren, Baylee, Hayden, Elijah, Alice, Sarah, and Bella; three sisters, Ruth C. Simmons, Myra C. Mills, and Anjela C. Martin; and a brother, Bobby Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mozelle C. Harris; and brothers, Buddy Collins, James Collins, Vance Collins, McKay Collins, and Edward Collins.
Graveside services will be conducted at Java Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery on Friday November 1, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Edward Pope officiating.
The family will receive friends at Java Church of God of Prophecy one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Java Church of God of Prophecy building fund.
