Obituary for Ann Blanks Adams

Ann Blanks Adams 91, of 2393 Java Road, Java Virginia went home to join her beloved departed family and friends on November 27, 2019.

Ann was born in Hurt, Virginia May 1, 1928, the youngest of six surviving siblings. She was the daughter of the late John Blanks and Autie Dillard Blanks.

She was predeceased by siblings Elva Clark (brother in law Fred Clark) Irving Blanks (sister-in-law Helen Blanks), Otha Blanks (sister-In-law Evelyn Blanks), Mazie Hall (brother-in-law Asa Hall), and A.V.Blanks.

Ann was married for 64 years to Glen Adams until his death in 2010. Together they owned and operated a country store and car wash in Java as well as farmed. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Donna Ann Adams in 2015.
Ann is survived by her daughter Tammy Adams Daniels and grandson Brian Glen Daniels both of the home. In addition, she is survived by one sister-in-law Ora Irby Blanks and by a large number of nieces and nephews.

Ann had a generous and loving spirit and she enjoyed giving cookies to the little children who shopped in her store. Since making her home in Java she was a faithful supporter of Providence United Methodist Church where she spent many hours planting and caring for the gardens there. Whenever possible she could be found working on the flower beds in her own yard.

Graveside services will be held on Friday November 29th with Pastor Kyle Uselton officiating at 11:00 am at the Hillcrest Burial Park in Chatham.
A short memorial service will be held on Sunday December 1st at 2:00 pm at Providence United Methodist Church.
