Dry Fork,
Michael Don Finch age 60 of 3465 Pleasant Gap Drive Dry Fork, VA died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. He was born on October 20, 1952, in Danville, VA, the son of the late Dillard H. Finch and the late Mildred Castle Finch.
He was a member of Chestnut Level Baptist Church. He worked for Disston for over twenty years and retired from Dodson Snacks in 2011.
Mike is survived by his wife Deborah Osborne Finch.
He is also survived by one son, Cody Finch of the residence; two daughters, Tara Riddle of Dry Fork and Denise Thornberry of Danville; one brother, Danny Finch of Blairs; two sisters, Pam Hyler of Blairs and Brenda Finch of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Michael and Alyssa Riddle and Amber Matherly; one great grandson and special neighbor, Sylvia Gibson of Dry Fork.
Graveside services will be conducted at Hillcrest Burial Park on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Richard Motley officiating. The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 7:00 PM till 8:00 PM and at other times will be at the residence. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SECU Family House, 1970 Family House Way, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
