Obituary for Eunice Geyer Fulcher

Chatham,

Eunice Geyer Fulcher, 90, of 14 Church Lane Chatham, died on Tuesday May 27, 2014. She was the wife of the late Ernest William Fulcher, who died in 1967. Born on April 4, 1924 in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Russell Geyer and the late Henrietta Gould Geyer Morris.

Eunice is survived by two daughters, Ann Fulcher Williamson and her husband Darrell Williamson of Danville, and Martha Fulcher Maxey and her husband Robert Maxey, Jr. of Rustburg; four grandchildren, Carrie Williamson Booker and her husband Eric Booker of Charlotte, NC, Whitney Williamson and his wife Sarah Gundlach Williamson of Richmond, Hannah Maxey, and Adam Maxey, both of Lynchburg; four great-grandchildren, Bennett Booker, Graham Booker, Emerson Williamson, and Charlie Williamson; two brothers, Clifford Geyer of Simpsonville, SC and Kenneth “Tommy” Geyer and his wife Kathryn Geyer of Chatham; one brother-in-law, William Graham of Chesapeake; one sister-in-law, Anne Thompson Geyer of Danville; and many nieces, nephews, and loyal friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Eunice was predeceased by one brother, Vernon R. Geyer, Jr. and two sisters, Beatrice Geyer Redmond and Janice Geyer Graham.

Mrs. Fulcher worked for many years with the Selective Service Board in Danville and Chatham. She later worked at Chatham Hall in the alumni office. She was a lifelong and active member of Chatham Baptist Church. She was a friend to many, young and old, and just a lover of people.

A memorial service will conducted on Saturday May 31, 2014 at Chatham Baptist Church at 11:00 am with the Rev. Charles Warnock, III officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Chatham Rescue Squad, Chatham Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
