Obituary for Betty Rigney Neal



DRY FORK,

Betty Rigney Neal, age 72, of Dry Fork, entered into rest on January 30, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 12, 1944, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Randy Rigney and the late Nannie Adkins Rigney. She is survived by her husband, Troy Neal, Jr.

She was a member of Museville Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Donna Neal Spyers of High Point, NC, Dana Neal of Danville, and Leslie Briant and her husband Jeffrey of Gretna; two sons, Troy Neal, III of Dry Fork and Michael Neal; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James Rigney and his wife Debra of Gretna; one sister, Peggy Crisp and her husband Danny of Gentry, AR; and two sisters-in-law, Karen Rigney of Callands and Virginia Neal Carlin of Danville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Lee Rigney.

Funeral services will be conducted at Museville Christian Church on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 11:00 am with Ministers Conley Stephenson, Ted Clifton, and Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Museville Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Museville Christian Church on Wednesday February 1, 2017 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence, 13989 Franklin Turnpike Dry Fork, VA.
