Obituary for Cornelia Shelton Rorer

CHATHAM,

Cornelia Shelton Rorer, age 75, of 365 Beechnut Rd. Chatham, VA, entered into rest on March 18, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on April 24, 1941, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Oscar Shelton and the late Mary Hammock Shelton.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynne Rorer and Pat Cox; one son, Johnny Rorer, Jr.; three grandchildren, Dee Ford, Stefanie Delrio, and Dustin Rorer; three great-grandchildren, Kera Ours, Cory Rominger, and C.J. Ford; one sister, Mary Dalton; and one brother, Larry Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Rorer, two sisters, Edna Campbell and Hazel Gibson, and four brothers, Ed Shelton, Frankie Shelton, David Shelton, and O.T. Shelton

The family will receive friends at the residence, 365 Beechnut Rd. Chatham, VA. 24531.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
