Obituary for Warren Coolidge Trivett Jr.

CHATHAM,

Warren Coolidge (Butchie) Trivett, age 71, of Chatham, went home to be with his lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 19, 2017 at his residence.

Warren was born in Portsmouth Virginia Sept 8, 1946. He graduated from Portsmouth High School and Joined the Air Force, serving two tours in Vietnam, Germany and Japan, and several stateside bases. Warren was a disabled Veteran who loved his country and believed in the rights of others to live as equals. After retirement Warren worked for McDonalds in Black Mountain, North Carolina, and worked as a reporter for the Old Fort, North Carolina newspaper. Settling in Chatham Virginia, he served his community through Christ, was a member of the Democratic committee serving as Treasurer, a member of the DAV, and a member of Watson Memorial United Methodist Church where he served as acolyte, serving God in anyway God led him. He helped many others and they never knew who had helped them.

Warren is survived by his wife Susan of 44 years, Daughters Tonna & Alvin Brubaker, Kristina Trivett, and Sons Warren Trivett III and Terry & Julie Purviance. 16 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren whom he loved so very much. He is also the oldest of 14 children of which 12 are still living.

Funeral services will be conducted at Watson Memorial United Methodist Church on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. William Mackey-Wisor officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence, 561 Beverly Heights Rd. Chatham, VA.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Watson Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 569 Chatham, VA 24531.
