The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Melvin Slayton can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Loretta
Condolence: To the Slayton Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I send my condolences to you and yours.
May the God of all comfort be with you and your Family in this time of need.
The Bible makes it clear that God did not originally intent for humans to die.
Jesus Christ himself said: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." John 5:28&29
Acts 24:15 says: "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
May Jehovah God and Jesus Christ be with you and your Family, may you all have peace.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened to hear of Sandy's passing and I offer my sincere condolences. I know you will sorely miss such a wonderful presence in your family. In these difficult times, you can find great comfort in the hope for the future present in the bible at Revelation 21:4. This scripture references future conditions on Earth, in which there will be no more suffering or death. There is also a hope found in John 5:28, 29.  The resurrection that this Bible verse talks about will give us the opportunity to see our lost loved ones again. I know it will be a joyous time when you can see Sandy's kind smile once more! I invite you to visit JW.ORG for more information on this comforting hope.

Condolence: We are so sorry to hear about Sandy passing. We knew I'm in Baltimore before moving to WV in 1978. We had some good times together and shared LP's (albums) which at the time our music meant a lot. We also attended the opening night of the musical "Hair" together at the Morris Mechanic and got a write up in the Baltimore Sun paper as being : Some of the more casually dressed" at the performance with glossy prints. I thought Sandy's girls would enjoy that story. Sorry again for your loss.
