The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roy Byrd can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: To the Entire Family:

I wish to convey my sincere sympathy in the loss of your Dear Family Member! Roy was a
good and genuine person who always promoted
care and concern for his fellowman. I visited him often in the past couple of years, normally while he was receiving medical care. Even during these visits, he
concentrated his discussions primarily upon his interest of others and did not specifically elaborate on his own personal well being. He loved his family, his Church
and his Town. He shall be missed and all
shall miss him.

My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you during this difficult time.

Condolence: Roy loved to tell stories of the early days of the Power Plant Industry. He often would come to my office and soon as he walked through my office door, he would say "hey little lady, what do you have good to eat?" He loved good food and talked about the best places to eat. He shared many stories of the past and I will be forever grateful for his friendship.
