A while back I was blessed with an opportunity to meet and spend a couple days with this lovely woman. I was a stranger to her but was welcomed warmly. In that short time, it was very evident that we had much in common. We shared a love of Longaberger baskets (she had quite the collection) and for her nephew, who had invited me to visit.
That evening when she announced she was retiring to her room, I placed a kiss upon her cheek to thank her for allowing me to visit. It meant so much to me to meet her, her son Keith and daughter Karen as well as Karen's family. We all had a wonderful dinner togther graciously prepared by Kevin and enjoyed an evening of family stories and history.
In Joan's living room was a sofa table filled with family Photos. I was introduced to everyone through pictures... It was a very memorable time for me and I will always cherrish it. My most sincere condolences to the family.
